At the end of the tenancy Inventory Inc conducts a thorough Check Out inspection.
Inventories Inc will use the inventory that was updated at the Check In, taking into account any relevant comments that have been added in the interim. At this stage we will list any significant differences on a Check Out report. This will include a statement of any Tenant liability, Landlord maintenance or Fair Wear and Tear.
Inventories Inc is well aware that cleaning can often be an area of dispute. We advise landlords and tenants to keep all receipts relating to cleaning and repairs carried out before, during or at the end of a tenancy. This helps the whole process.
The Check Out report will be necessary for most claims made by landlords. For that reason, courts usually have a more favourable view if the report is compiled by an independent and unbiased party such as Inventories Inc.
We will also make a note of meter readings at the end of the tenancy. We can collect keys from the tenant and compare them to the keys issued at Check In, and will always ensure that the property is left in a secured state.
